- Macros (pptm), external links, and embedded OLE objects are all attack vectors. Open unexpected pptx in Protected View first.
Common mistakes
- Forgetting to embed fonts — recipients see font substitutions and broken layouts. Enable 'embed fonts in file' before sharing.
- Embedded videos can push files past mail attachment limits quickly; switch to cloud-share links.
